Senior Andrew Winter, a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, slides into a watermelon filled slip-n-slide at the annual Watermelon Bust; a multi-event Olympics with watermelon incorporated in each event, run by his fraternity Saturday, April 24, 2010 on Ohio University's south green, Athens, Ohio. All teams were encouraged to donate canned goods to be donated to the Athens Food Pantry.
Senior Emily Krizmanic from University of Dayton competes in the long jump portion of the heptathlon during the All-Ohio Championships Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Pruitt Field, Athens, Ohio. Krizmanic placed 10th in the heptathlon and Dayton placed 5th as a team with 76.50 points. The Flyers next meet will be Ashland University Alumni Invitational on April 24, 2010.
First time half marathon runner, Claudia Shultz, is greeted at the finish line, on April 11, 2010, by Rick Essex, ex-high school track coach for Athens High School, at Athens Annual Marathon/Half Marathon Run at Pruitt Field, Athens, Ohio. Shultz and Essex used to teach together for years at the Plains Elementary. Shultz expressed, "It's great accomplishing something like this." Shultz finished in a time of 2.08:58.
