A little over a month ago close to election day, I was able to follow the VP around for a day rally with the traveling press.
Though politic shooting isn't my cup of tea, I had a lot of fun learning the ropes and trying to keep up with everyone else.

Back when Sandy hit, I went to West Virginia for NYT trying to find some evidence of the snow storm that was rolling in.
Although my pictures didn't really work out, at least I was able to convince Kenny to let me climb on top of his salt truck
on the highway.

Drive home from the summer in Dallas. Good experience, great people, but feels great to be back in Athens.

Don, Parker Family Reunion, Mexia, Texas.

My first heavy metal concert, Motörhead & Slayer. It was interesting to say the least, I think I enjoyed being out of my
element, only for the hour.

Another thing I got to shoot for the 4th this year was follow around this Bhutanese family. The parents met and got
married in a refugee camp, over 15 years ago. That is where all three of their children were born. The kids had never been outside of the camp
until they got to America. Where, they have only been here a month and half. I found it challenging to shoot, it didn't work out too well. Their
whole family ended up not being there and I couldn't communicate with them. At the end of the night seeing Nunda's face with the fireworks
was priceless, it was everyone's first time seeing them.

This is RV Burgin. As some of you know, I am a Band of Brother buff; seen them, own them, love them. Another
miniseries, The Pacific, aired as well. On July 4th, I had the pleasure of meeting RV, who had his character
portrayed in the series by Martin McCann. I really had a lot of fun talking to him and did so more than take his picture.

Fraternal Order of Eagles welcomes summer.

Here is an outtake from last weeks Hearst competition. It was a lot of fun to be able to go meet new people and
take some pictures.

I really enjoyed this assignment because it was the same subject of what I was
working on for this years Soul of Athens project (Fracking). It was about people
leasing their land out for the gas development in Southeast Ohio. You can read

I am so thankful that I was able to come into town to visit with some great friends, you guys are amazing people. I have
had a lot of fun, thanks Dania and Craig.

Here is just a couple of pictures from the short scientific doc I did on light pollution during documentary class.

Spring quarter here in Athens is a funny thing. You wait so long during the cold winter for it to get warm. Everyone wants
 it to come, so you can spend time outside, riding bikes, porch drinking, swimming, and just spending time with friends.
But once it gets here, it goes by so fast and we don't want the school year to end. That is what is happening right now,
time is in fast forward, and I would like it if time would just slow down to slow motion for a bit. So many things are about
to change and I just want to be able to enjoy these moments.

So I met some new friends the other day...

Happy (late) St. Patty's Day! I was able to hang out with a 17 year-old world champion irish dancer for a couple hours,
